There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is about me, Rachel Carlsen.
I am a Socially Conscious Entrepreneur, I am a Changemaker, I am a CPA with more than 30-years of experience with nonprofit organizations who wants to make a difference. I have worked with hundreds of successful startups and nonprofit ventures with business strategy, tax services and raising capital, in the San Francisco Bay Area during the Dot Com boom; and provided CPA services, along with business consulting services to entrepreneurs who wanted to make a difference. I am an expert in my field and now I've joined forces with like-minded individuals who are global experts in philanthropy and want to make a difference.
I hope you enjoy this site and take a moment to drop me a line.

First published in the Journal of Accountancy in 1998 for my accounting work and volunteerism with local nonprofits;
I have made it my life's purpose to support nonprofit organizations and socially conscious entrepreneurs for over two-decades and have now formed my own organization, Create Impact, dedicated to helping people and affecting the world in a positive way.
This website is all about me and my desire to make a difference.
My name is Rachel Louise Carlsen;
I am many things to many people with no "one" thing taking precedence over the other AND with the MOST Important thing always being my Children or my Family.
I grew up in Redlands, California which is still and will always be near and dear to my heart. In my small family of (4), I had a reasonably quiet, middle-class childhood with all of the typical family quarrels and misdoings.
I have always been interested in numbers but not always interested in accounting...which ultimately makes me very good at it. I know that sounds strange so let me explain. Thinking outside-the-box in a truly strategic fashion is creative, which means you need a creative person for tax planning, which I am. With your interest and best practices in mind, I develop personalized tax strategies that suit the needs of the taxpayer, not the IRS. I work with clients to help explore a different approach, which ultimately leads to the best solution for the client, whether that be simple tax preparation or negotiating an irs installment payment. I put the client's best interest first.
"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever."
Photography has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. It is a sense of capturing a moment in time and making it last forever, the feeling, the energy, the laughter and the joy. This has been near and dear to my heart in remembering people that I've lost, friendships or relationships that have changed and most especially, remembering all of those magical moments with my children.
Please enjoy my website and exploring "my story" as it continues to unfold.
