First published in the Journal of Accountancy in 1998 for my work in accounting and volunteerism within Bay Area nonprofits;

I have made it my purpose throughout my career to support socially conscious organizations and entrepreneurs.

My name is Rachel Carlsen; 

I am many things to many people with no "one" thing taking precedence over the other AND with the MOST Important thing always being my Children and my Family.

I grew up in Redlands, California which is still and will always be near and dear to my heart. I have been interested in numbers since I was a child but not always interested in accounting...which ultimately makes me very good at it. I know that sounds strange, so let me explain. Thinking outside-the-box in a truly strategic fashion is creative, which means you need a creative person for tax planning, estate planning or business planning. With the client's interest and best practices in mind, I develop personalized strategies that suit the needs of the client.
