Rachel Carlsen

Rachel Carlsen is a social entrepreneur, executive, and certified public accountant. Throughout her extensive career in finance, business management and public accounting, she has founded, led, and served organizations that deliver meaningful social impact.

Ms. Carlsen became the Treasurer for International Arts & Philanthropy Foundation (IAPF) in June 2020 and served the organization in that role until June 2023. IAPF is a nonprofit organization that through collaborative partnerships is creating groundbreaking change throughout the world. In addition to her role with IAPF, Rachel is also the founder and President of Create Impact, a nonprofit organization whose partners share a belief in the power of collaboration to create change, while also working to globally combat social injustice.

From 2015 to 2022, she has also been the President of Carlsen Financial Inc., a public accounting firm located in Sherman Oaks, California. This accounting firm created an accessible, virtual, financial network designed around Rachel's vision to create the "Firm of the Future". While providing financial planning services, insurance services, CFO services, bookkeeping and tax preparation, she was able to open the doors to entrepreneurs like never before, with access to a full suite of financial services in one place. This network provides a high-tech solution to fast-paced entrepreneurs who need assistance with the administrative structure of their organization.

She is also the founder of Carlsen Partners LLP, a leader and visionary in business consulting and tax strategy in the greater Los Angeles area. She has served as Treasurer or Board Member for several charitable organizations, including, but not limited to; Mothers of the Amazon, The Brightside Charitable Foundation, Always in the Club Foundation, and My Giving Foundation, just to name a few. 

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting degrees from University of Nevada Las Vegas and has been a featured guest speaker on social entrepreneurism and diversity, amongst her network. She prides herself on being a mentor to young people and considers herself to be an outside-the-box thinker.

In May 2023, Ms. Carlsen received an award from The Los Angeles Tribune, for her Outstanding Excellence in Leadership.
